A successful Wellness Afternoon!

This week, we began Unit 5 - 2-D Shapes. Click HERE for a parent letter that describes some ways that you can support your child at home while we work through this unit. Students identified straight and curved lines and then created and sorted drawings of shapes, in Google Drawings, with both straight and curved lines.

In Social Studies, we started discussing traditions of the Acadian people in Meteghan. What are some traditions unique to you and your family? We learned about traditional clothing, food and music. We also read an Acadian folktale called “Evangeline and Gabriel”. We learned that traditional stories are used to help preserve information and teach us lessons.

This afternoon, student rotated through four Wellness Afternoon activities! Ask you child about their favorite activity!
