Winter Walk February 1, 2017

On the first Wednesday of February each year, hundreds of thousands of Albertans take it outside to celebrate living in a beautiful winter province. More people walking is great for our health, the environment, and helps strengthen communities. On February 1st, Robina Baker will join over 160,000 Albertans for #WinterWalkDay as we show the rest of Canada that Alberta knows how to embrace winter!

Once again, Robina Baker Elementary School is participating in this school-wide event by going on a wonderful wintery walk in Devon’s trail system. Grades 1-4 will depart the school at 12:45pm, walk for approx. 45mins before returning to school for some Hot Chocolate generously provided by The Town of Devon.

Students will be walking with their classes. Please visit Powerschool to give permission for your child to participate. Thanks!

We will require a couple of volunteers to join us on our walk. Please let me know if you're available.

Welcome back! We had a busy day, diving right back in!

In Science, we began our next unit, Magnetism. Students are excited to explore the interaction of magnets with a variety of materials!
