Library Tomorrow!

Today was our first day of Home Reading!  Students are bringing home their grey canvas home reading bags, 4 books and the home reading log.  All of these items are due back on Friday morning. All of the details about home reading are available inside the first page of the log.  Please take time to review the document and email if you have any questions.

Students also received their first Words Their Way Sort. All of the details about the Word Sorts are attached to this week's sort along with their Sorting Mat. Please keep this mat in a safe place, as the mat will be used each week.

Students also received their first five Word Wall Words. These important, high frequency words are words that second graders use in their reading and writing every day. Recognizing these high frequency words is an integral part of becoming better readers and writers.
