Wow, the smoke from the fires in Northern Alberta was thick today, because of this, students were indoors for the majority of the day.  Our thoughts are with all those affected by the fires.

Today student completed their colour poems Google Slides, based on the book My Many Colored Days by Dr. Seuss.

We hope to see you all at assembly tomorrow for our P-A-T-I-E-N-C-E performance!

In the olden days...

This morning, students were introduced to an archaic learning tool...the dictionary! They were excited to thumb through the pages to find the word 'school' and asked, "Can I read the dictionary?" when they were finished their work. Who knew!

It was Hats on For Mental Health today!

This morning we had the pleasure of having Mrs. D read to us.  Thank you to the Devon Lions Club for coming to read to our students and also for your generous donations of books!

In math, students learned to identify even and odd numbers by pairing up objects. Skip counting by 2s sure came in handy when counting smiley faces.

During Writer's Workshop, we began exploring Poetry! Today, students wrote Acrostic Name Poems, getting creative with adjectives to describe themselves!

Thank you to our incredible RBES parent council/parents for the delicious treats and adorable succulent - a very thoughtful and kind gesture!
