In Math, we began solving simple word problems that involved addition to 20.  See if your child can show you how to solve this math problem (showing both a drawing and an addition sentence):  2C was carving pumpkins.  Ms. Jenae brought 5 pumpkins, Mrs. Suter brought 7 more pumpkins, How many pumpkins were there altogether?

In Science, students learned the words absorb and repel. We tested many materials to observe which material would work best to make a homemade umbrella. Ask you child what material they would chose.
