No School On Monday

This morning, students had fun on their Classroom Scavenger Hunt! Many are looking forward to spending time in our Cozy Reading Corner. They love the pillows, books and think it will be relaxing to hang out in there!

In Art, students worked on their All About Me Art-Phone...

Thursday, 1 September 2016

Our first day is officially in the books!  It was a wonderful day of getting to know each other and familiarizing ourselves with the the routines of the classroom and school.

In the morning we read the story First Day Jitters! We talked about how we were able to connect with how Mrs. Hartwell felt on her first day at a new school! We calmed any nervous tummies with a glass of Jitter Juice.

In the afternoon students enjoyed a fabulous Magic Show performance by Steve Hammer.

Trial #1

Today, Captains and their crews tested their boats: Did it float? Did it propel? Did it carry a load?
After all of the boats were tested, students did a Gallery Walk, giving feedback and suggestions to other Boat Crew Members. Tomorrow, students will make modifications to their boats for Trial #2.
